This is just one of those places that has been on our bucket list for as long as we can remember. After a previous visit to California which resulted in us having to travel home early and not be able to visit Yosemite, we were ecstatic to be able to return the following year and get the chance to finish one of our dream road-trips. And boy, did it exceed our expectations.

There is no way we can fit all of Yosemite's awesomeness into one post, so this is part of a series. This post is specific to El Capitan and our favorite views of the world's largest, vertical, exposed granite rock face and the surrounding valley. Locations of the photo spots are mentioned below.

Capture Spots | El Capitan | California

YOSEMITE VALLEY VIEW

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK

One of our favorite spots to just pull up and admire the view, we spent some time here just staring across the water and taking it all in, the view as the sun sets is also really beautiful.

El Capitan Meadow

Park your car along the road and walk through the meadows to get a stunning view from right underneath El Capitan. This location is so serene, we even came across someone just reading peacefully underneath a tree. It's such a perfect place to relax, and a reminder that the world holds so much beauty.
